Thousands of them came together in London and ILS's Group Business Development Director, Richard MacNee, was, for the 10th year running, there to absorb the latest trends.
During the three day event the Isle of Man's Gambling Supervision Commission launched a new licence for software suppliers. It has been introduced to meet demand from international companies looking to demonstrate their high standards. The licence isn't mandatory but the benefits will include being able to show games have been tested and certified allowing them to be placed on the GSC games registry.
Digital Isle of Man also announced the formation of a Blockchain Office and a Blockchain Sandbox to guide businesses through the current and future regulatory requirements. These initiatives are part of the Government's drive to make the Isle of Man an international hub for blockchain business and create a conduit between business and regulators.
Richard said: "ICE is the main stage for the sector and is where new products and support initiatives are launched. This year didn't disappoint and the announcements improving the Isle of Man's proposition were certainly a talking point. The feedback was positive and we look forward to seeing progress over the next few months.
"As usual a number of Isle of Man companies introduced new products and games. Microgaming had a huge presence as did SBTech who invited world heavyweight boxing champion Tyson Fury to the unveiling of their new game, The Big Bang."
The ILS eGaming and digital team has worked with both start-ups and established gaming clients, many of which are household names – and has or continues to work in many different sectors including sportsbook, casino, bingo and poker. Our knowledge in the sector is not restricted to online concerns and we assist a number of land based operators and associated businesses such as casinos, banks, payment processing and marketing advisers.
The team also enjoy working with those who are keen to develop and integrate new technologies into their business and we are very experienced at working with blockchain and cryptocurrency betting operators. Latterly we have advised eSports businesses embracing the use of digital currency and tokens within their models as well as working with a cryptocurrency custodian utilising cutting edge, self-developed technology to provide much needed security for clients holding cryptocurrency.
