Welcome to our new look website and branding!
Branding has always been a topic close to my heart – the idea of trying to capture the essence of what an organisation stands for in the look and feel of a letterhead or business card is a huge challenge. Things are slightly easier now perhaps with extended opportunities offered via digital messaging channels, particularly an organisation's website. Our website has been radically re-engineered and is, in our humble opinion, much the better for this. Please take a moment to take a look for yourself - we'd welcome your feedback.
At the time of our last rebrand our global footprint was what helped differentiate ourselves most markedly from our competition. Over the years and as a result of the venture capitalist merger and acquisition activity within our sector this feature no longer sets us apart to the same extent as it once did, which is why this time we've tried to capture the spirit of independence with our origami bird.
Not being part of a large financial institution, or being owned by the Venture Capitalists is what we now believe sets us apart, and we believe that this independence is something that our clients, particularly our Private Clients, find reassuring, comforting and attractive.
The success of our industry is, to some extent, based upon the longevity and stability of our client relationships. As our 25th anniversary approaches I believe that many of them truly appreciate the fact that our ownership is not predicated on a quick three to five year "flip" during which our profits must significantly grow, either by raising fees or cutting costs, but that the people they have been dealing with over the length of their relationship with ILS are likely to remain and the culture and philosophy of the way we treat our clients will remain constant.
